Adelaide star forward Josh Jenkins has signed a five-year contract extension, resisting lucrative overtures from rival AFL clubs.

Jenkins has been in career-best form this year, leading the Crows' goal-kicking with 44 majors and averaging 5.7 marks per game.

Brisbane were reported to be among the clubs circling the 27-year-old, whose contract had been due to expire at the end of the year.
