He missed nearly the entire season in 2015, but Adelaide ruckman Sam Jacobs says he is excited to see young midfielder Brad Crouch back in action this season.
Crouch missed the entire year in 2015 as he struggled to overcome a foot injury.
The 22 year old midfielder, when on the football field, has had a sparkling start to his career, averaging 25 disposals in his first 25 games of senior football and is set for a much bigger role at the club given the departure of Patrick Dangerfield to Geelong.
Crouch was eased through the pre-season by new coach Don Pyke but Jacobs has said that the exciting young midfielder is close to full fitness and nearing a return to full training.
"He probably started pre-season a little bit [slowly] but now he's starting to build back up to the normal training regime," Jacobs said on Monday.
"He's obviously really excited just to be back out there amongst the boys and we're excited to have him back.
"Just little snippets you can see how good he's going to be and what we've been missing."
